Log Cabin Crocheted Baby Blanket
(easy
to crochet)
This
baby blanket design is based on a log cabin quilt block. It is a
single block expanded to fill a blanket. Finished size is approx.
36" x 36", but will vary slightly depending on gauge of your work.
Materials:
10-50 gr balls Crystal Palace Kiddo:
2 balls: #418 "scuba" (B1) & 3 balls: #204 "starry
blue" (B2),
2 balls ea. of the 2 pinks:
#416 "tulips" (A1) & #205 "crystal pink"(A2),
+ 1 ball center color: #212 "apricot" (C1) or as desired for
center.
[Note: you may wish to buy one extra ball of color B1,
the model came out almost exactly using 2 balls with only 1 yd left
over. If you wish to use less yarn, make the center square with A2
instead of a new color.]
Hook: Crystal Palace Bamboo size L-11 or size needed to
obtain gauge in HDC (Half Double Crochet)
Gauge: Center 6” square = 14 stitches (count turning chain as
1 stitch), 12 rows (Note: gauge is not terribly important since size
can be flexible. Each "log" is 5.5 inches wide.)
